Even though I am working my redundancy notice, and even though all THE MEN got a golden handshake and were sent home to put their feet up and not have to work their notice, I rang work today to see if I was needed. No answer, good, and I'm blowed if I am trailing there to find it shut. Frittered the day away catching up on e-mail and solving a problem one of the club members was having with his e-mail. Not a sniff of a new years eve party, we usually have one but I just can't work up any enthusiasm this year and, unless we have just been left off everyone's guest lists, it looks like no-one else can either.
Solved the mystery of the re-appearing cat. The door to the boiler house was slightly ajar and she has been using it as her own personal entrance. For some reason she has not been using it to exit, maybe it is awkward one way, and has been shrieking to go out as usual, but has been using it to slink back in. I have blocked it off now as it is only a matter of time before she brings a present in, if she can find an animal that can't hear the huge bell she wears.

Thought I'd better grab a blog while they are still free.
No doubt there will be a rush for New Year, new diaries, resolutions etc.
Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet but I have a vague notion of it helping me to re-organize my day to day routine after my redundancy.
